About the panel discussion:It takes a long way for food to get from farm to plate. And this way is not always safe. Food safety has become a major issue in India after the Maggi case. But the problem is not new. Two out of three samples of milk did not meet prescribed standards in a nationwide survey by FSSAI in 2011.Many pesticides regularly used in India are banned in other countries for their bad impact on the nervous, reproductive system etc.
