The submissions were conducted through social media and were open to all. This is the second edition of PERSPEKTIVEN. The exhibition had a great success last year, displaying the works of 45 Indian photographers based both In India and abroad. The theme in 2014 was Water, the element of life. This year’s theme is Mother Earth.

About the theme MOTHER EARTH:

This edition of PERSPEKTIVEN is an attempt to evoke and remind all of us of these natural emotions and revive long-buried instincts by a meaningful and thought-provoking display of photographs depicting all aspects of Mother Earth – her beauty, her joys, her sorrows and her pain.

The Earth does not belong to us, but we belong to the Earth. Our Mother Earth is the source of all life, whether it be plants, the two-legged, four-legged, winged ones or human beings. Just as we would protect our own mother, so must we protect the Earth. We need to ensure that the land, water, and air will be intact for our children and for our children’s children.

About Environmental April 2015:

Environmental April is commemorated every year by Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad with the special program, centred around the Earth Day, celebrated on April, 22nd. We present a program that highlight environmental issues in an innovative and thought-provoking manner through exhibitions, film-screenings, discussions and workshops.
